Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on December 30, 1986. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 due to her irresistible electronic pop songs "Starry Eyed" and Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding has a unique soprano scream, and an aptitude to write songs that are emotional with positive lyrics. Much like her predecessors Kate Bush or Imogen, she's on the cutting edge of contemporary mainstream pop as well as artistic independent music. Polydor Records signed her to an agreement with a record label and she started preparing for the launch of her debut album.
