Ina-Garten
Ina Garten is an American author of cookery books as well as Emmy Award-winning host for the Food Network's most popular program, Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002 and will run for 27 seasons until 2020. Ina started her career as a writer at the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy documents. In the beginning, she was enthralled by the intellectual challenge of the job, but quickly began to lose interest. Instead she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty store for food. The store was a success for 18 years. the store extremely successful before letting it go and grabbing a pen to begin writing her first book. Numerous magazines and cookbooks followed. Another success came from her Food Network Television show. In addition, she sells a variety of product from cooking ingredients to storage and equipment. Ina herself, a self-taught chef she has never attended an institution for cooking or an establishment. She is known for her easy approach to cooking and effortless entertaining. Her most well-known recipes include Skillet and Roasted lemon Chicken Mac and Cheese, Mac, Beef Bourguignon and cheese paired with Beatty's Chocolate Cake, and Lemon Bars.
